In short: BuzzBuy does not ask who you are. The app creates a random identifier on your phone, and the products you track are linked to that identifier on our servers so we can check them and alert you. There are no ads and no advertising trackers, and we do not sell data.
Who is responsible
BuzzBuy is published by Webaimarket, established in Belgium, which is the controller of the data described here. Contact: admin@aividect.com.
What we collect
An anonymous device identifier. When you first open BuzzBuy, it generates a random identifier and stores it on your phone. We use it to link your tracked products to your device. It is not derived from your phone’s hardware, your advertising ID or anything else that identifies you.
Your tracking data. The product links you add, product names, stock status, price history, your target prices, and settings such as quiet hours and your daily summary.
A push notification token, if you allow notifications, so that alerts reach your device.
Subscription status, if you buy a subscription. Payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation that you paid and when your subscription runs out. We never see or store your full card details.
Technical logs. Like any server, ours records the IP address and time of requests. We use these logs only to keep the service secure and to fix faults.
What we do not collect
Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or advertising ID. BuzzBuy contains no advertising and no analytics that profile you.
How we use it
- To check the product pages you chose, and notify you when an item is back in stock or below your target price.
- To send your daily summary and respect your quiet hours.
- To manage your subscription and credits.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
Our servers visit the product pages you add. The shop sees a request from our servers, not from you or your phone.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, only to run BuzzBuy:
- Render, which hosts our servers and database;
- Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which deliver notifications to your device;
- Stripe, which processes subscription payments.
Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we process your tracking data, notification token and subscription status to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract). We keep technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
How long we keep it
Tracking data is kept for as long as you track the product. Removing a product in the app removes it from your list. Technical logs are kept for a short period only. You can ask us to delete everything linked to your device at any time; see below.
Deleting your data
Remove products in the app at any time. To have all data linked to your device deleted, follow the steps on the data deletion page. Because BuzzBuy does not know who you are, we may ask for a detail, such as a product link you tracked, to find your records.
Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to the servers is restricted to what is needed to run the service.
Children
BuzzBuy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Email admin@aividect.com; we answer within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or to the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will also say so in the app.
