Summary

Byndra analyses screen images on your phone. Screen content stays on the device. There is no Byndra account or advertising, and filtering activity is not tracked online. Settings and activity information are saved locally. When subscriptions are enabled, Google Play handles payment and RevenueCat processes purchase information to manage access and subscription reporting. Payments and verification are not enabled in this version.

Screen content

After you approve Android screen sharing, Byndra checks visible images while a selected app is open. Sharing the entire screen gives Android capture access to the display; sharing one app limits that session to the app you pick. Frames can include anything visible in the shared area. Images are analysed in memory, then discarded; they are not saved as photos or recordings or uploaded. On supported Android versions, Accessibility screenshots also let the filter check beneath its own blur. Protected screens may not be available for analysis.

Accessibility service

Byndra uses Android's AccessibilityService API to identify the foreground app, notice scrolling, read image layout bounds, draw the blur, and check images underneath the blur. Your blocking rules can send a blocked app to the home screen. In Family mode, tamper protection also inspects text and content descriptions on Android settings, installer, store or security screens for the app name and closes matching screens until the parent unlocks them. This information is processed on this device. The service does not log typed text or build a message or browsing-history record.

Data stored on the phone

Saved locally: your settings and selected/blocked app identifiers; per-app levels and feedback learning; your optional reason and child/device name; salted PIN and recovery-code hashes; failed-PIN lockout state; scheduled changes and app-block timers; an installation-enrollment record for subscription migration; daily blur/category/time counters shown for the last 30 days; and up to 200 recent blur events with app identifier, time and nudity/suggestive category. No event contains the image. Activity › Clear activity deletes events and counters, leaving settings and PIN protection intact. Settings and security data remain until changed, app data is cleared in Android, or Byndra is uninstalled. App data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. A report you deliberately share goes to the app you choose, under its own privacy policy.

Installed apps

The Apps tab queries installed apps locally so you can choose what to filter. The installed-app list is not sent to us. Identifiers for selected, customised or blocked apps, and apps in local activity, are saved on this device.

Subscriptions and verification

Payments and verification are not enabled in this version. When enabled, Google Play handles checkout through your Google account. RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, receives an anonymous app identifier, app and product identifiers, purchase tokens and purchase history over an encrypted connection to validate, restore and manage subscriptions and provide subscription reporting. Its SDK also exchanges technical information, such as Android and SDK versions, language, currency and connection times; the service receives the connection IP address. The SDK saves the anonymous identifier and cached purchase information on the phone. RevenueCat stores subscription records on servers in the United States; they are not processed only in memory. We do not attach your name, email address or advertising identifiers. Screen images, captured text, installed-app lists, filtering activity, PINs and recovery codes are never included. A separate local enrollment record preserves existing-installation access. Email admin@aividect.com to request access, correction or deletion of subscription records; we may need purchase information to locate the record. Retention is limited to providing the service and applicable legal obligations. Clearing local activity or uninstalling does not delete provider records or cancel Google Play renewal. After deletion, using subscription features again may create records needed to verify access.

Family use

An adult can set up Byndra for their own use or manage Family mode on a child's device. The same local processing and storage apply, including an optional child/device name and app-activity metadata. There is no remote parent account, dashboard or automatic report to another person. The adult should explain the filter, its limitations and the information stored on the device to everyone using it. Family controls cannot prevent all Android workarounds.
